Home Study Services

Home Assessments

Alliance of Tulsa will go to a home to evaluate cleanliness and safety. This provides a parent the opportunity to show the court their home is an appropriate place for a child. Alliance of Tulsa will not only report on the home but the neighborhood as well.

Adoption Home Studies

Alliance of Tulsa provides thorough adoption home studies for both private and International adoptions. Both pre-placement and supplemental (post-placement) assessments are available to meet the requirements of State Statutes and "INS".

You will provide detailed family background information on all family members. You will have to complete documentation as required and otherwise cooperate with Alliance of Tulsa to enable them to collect sufficient information about your family from which to complete an evaluation. Alliance of Tulsa will visit your home during the home study process. You will provide personal references and copies of needed documents, such as birth certificates, marriage licenses, divorce decrees, financial and tax records, military discharge, and any other items which might be needed. You will have to apply for and obtain a criminal history report and child abuse registry check as required by law, and furnish the results to Alliance of Tulsa. The provision of false and inaccurate information may be a basis for discontinuation of the home study process.

Alliance of Tulsa will hold all information in strictest confidence and will only release information to third-parties upon written permission.

Alliance of Tulsa will complete a written report which will include family background information, information about the child, and the worker's recommendation about the suitability of the family for adoptive placement. The placement recommendation is required by State Law and will be based upon a professional assessment of the family's strengths and ability to provide a stable home environment for the child.
